Character is ok, poor structure is not
I aim for perfection in every leather item I make. That doesn't mean I pretend handmade work is perfect. My standards are high, but every cut, stitch and finishing choice is exactly that, and it gives each piece a character of its own.
The leathers I choose are the highest quality and most interesting that I can find. Interesting means plenty of texture, pull-up, creasing and other cosmetic details, or a high probability of good patina. I always love an interesting colour as well. These natural variations aren't imperfections, they're part of the reason I chose that particular leather in the first place.
